Privacy Policy
Written to be read rather than to be defensible. If anything below is unclear, that's a fault in our drafting and we'd like to know.
We collect the minimum needed to sell you a publication, send you a letter you asked for, and run the observation tools. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and health information you record in our tools belongs to you. You can ask for a copy or ask us to delete it.

What we collect, and why
Health information
This deserves its own section, because it's the most sensitive thing we hold and the easiest to be vague about.
Anything you record in an Elevora observation tool — symptoms, sleep, cycle, energy, laboratory values, notes — is yours. We store it so you can retrieve and read it. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, use it to target anything at you, or provide it to insurers or employers.
We may look at aggregated, de-identified patterns to understand which parts of a tool people actually use. That work never involves reading an individual's record in a way that identifies them.
Elevora is not a healthcare provider and this is not a clinical record. That means the protections attaching to medical records under laws such as HIPAA generally do not apply to us in the way they would to a clinic — which is precisely why we are stating our own commitments here rather than pointing at a statute.
What we don't do
- We don't sell personal information.
- We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't build advertising profiles.
- We don't email you things you didn't ask for.
- We don't require an account to read anything on this website.
Who processes data on our behalf
Running a small publisher means using outside services: a payment processor, an email platform, a hosting provider, and — if you use the tools — an application backend. Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and each is bound to use it only for that purpose.
Current providers: Gumroad, who handle payment and delivery of publications. If we add an email platform for the newsletter, it will be named here before it is used.
How long we keep things
Purchase records for as long as tax law requires. Newsletter subscription until you unsubscribe, then removal. Observation data for as long as you keep your account, and deleted on request. Contact correspondence for two years, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop sending you things. Write to kristina@elevorasystems.com and we'll respond within thirty days.
If you're in the UK, EU, or EEA, the GDPR gives you these rights formally, along with the right to complain to your national data protection authority. If you're in California, the CCPA gives you comparable rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We extend the same rights to everyone regardless of location, because operating two standards seemed worse than operating one.
Children
This site and its publications are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, tell us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy substantively, we'll date the change at the top and describe what changed rather than quietly replacing the text. We keep the same revision discipline here that we keep for our publications.
